God is so Good

Have you ever had something occur in your life where it is impossible to deny that God had a part in it? Well this week, my husband and I definitely had one of those experiences, and I cannot help but to share it.

This week, Brent received two awesome job offers from two different insurance agencies. We spent the evening talking about each agency, and what they had to offer. After balancing out the pros and cons, we realized that the offer we wanted was going to be very difficult, and seemed almost impossible for Brent to accept. You see, Brent and I made the decision to sell his truck a few months ago because we were putting more money into it than we spent on it, so we have been sharing a car. He would drop me off to work and then go to work throughout the day until it was time to pick me up. (Luckily, we both worked close to home) The issue about this offer that we wanted to accept was that it is about 30 miles away from home. With only one car, we were pretty torn that the offer we felt strongly about wasn't going to be possible for us to take. We decided to take a day or two to think and pray about it, but little did we know, we wouldn't have to wait much longer to receive an answer to our silent little prayers.

That same night, Brent's mom called and asked about how the offers were going. Brent explained how amazing the opportunity we wanted to take was, but also shared the issues we were facing that were preventing us from accepting it. While on the phone, Brent started crying. I thought he was just overwhelmed and disappointed with the situation, I mean who wouldn't be? Boy was I wrong. Brent was crying with shock and happiness. Crazy enough, Brent's mom was calling to let us know that we had actually inherited some money from his grandparents. And guess what... It was the EXACT amount that we were trying to save to get a car that would be suitable for Brent to drive to and from work every day! The second Brent hung up the phone and told me, we both sat there with tears running down our faces. We couldn't believe it. There was absolutely no way that this was just a coincidence!

Growing up, there were many situations where I understood that the blessings we receive in life are far greater than coincidence. But this blessing was different. It was such a quick and unexpected blessing. We had no way of thinking this would happen to us. God is aware of us and he is aware of the things that we need. His timing is PERFECT. I am still in shock that a DAY LATER, we were able to find an amazing deal on a vehicle for our family!

God is SO good, and he looks out for us. He looked out for my sweet little family this week. We bought a car today, and we couldn't have been any more blessed than we were this week. Brent starts at this new agency on Monday, and we are so excited to see where this journey will take us <3

Say hello to our new 2010 Hyundai Sonata!
